Axiom has been providing annual drilling package and derrick inspection services to North Sea drilling contractors since 1986 and have an established track record in this field.

In addition to our experience, a key benefit to our clients is our ability to resource multi-disciplined teams in a manner sympathetic to the drilling environment.

We believe that there is a demonstrable service and cost efficiency in combining a number of different inspection disciplines within a single regular inspection package and this is proving a popular option amongst our regular clients.

Axiom Lifting

The addition of Axiom Lifting Services to our range, has enabled us to carry out quality assured derrick maintenance and lifting services – both offshore and during the onshore project planning stage:

Derrick Inspection Report Packages

We believe our standard report formats and delivery time are among the best in the industry.

Our written procedure for structural derrick inspection fully meets or exceeds the requirements of API RP 4G: 2004 (errata 2005) and API RP 4F: 2001.

Since 2011, we have partnered with StarNet Geomatics to provide a High Definition 3D Laser Scanning (HDS) and Modelling service, specifically tailored to offshore drilling derricks and drilling packages.

This service can be integrated with  API4G, DROPS or other report formats to provide a a ‘state of the art’ online integrity management system, as well as allowing a visual (post survey) cross check of damaged areas and ‘virtual tour’ of scanned areas.

Ageing and Life Extension

Our involvement with structural inspection of drilling derricks and drilling packages dates back to 1986 and our reputation has been built in this demanding environment.

HSE Key Programme Four ‘Ageing & Life Extension of Offshore Installations’ due for completion at the end of 2013 seeks to promote awareness and management of the risks associated with ageing offshore plant.

Our unique and structured approach to integrity management is tailored to the offshore drilling industry.
