Lifting Gear Examination
In 1998, the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) came into force, replacing a number of separate pieces of legislation in all work places to which the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 applies.
A key requirement under LOLER is that lifting equipment is subject to thorough examination by a competent person at regular intervals. This should be done at either 6 month (lifting accessories or equipment used for lifting people) or 12 month (lifting appliances) intervals or in accordance with a written scheme, laid down by a competent person.
We are happy to maintain lifting equipment registers on behalf of our clients and are able to install and test a range of appliances and accessories as required.
We are a member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and believe that LEEA guidelines and training represent the gold standard in this field.
